Jealous Reasons

on August 2, 2013

I went to my local baby drop in group this morning and my new mummy friend, Mummy A has made me so jealous.

Her son, S, is a week or two younger than E and she and hubby had a meal out for their anniversary. S was left with his Granny for the night. And they’re doing the same tonight.

Now date night is the furthest thing from my mind, but a little break, with my husband? That’d be nice!
The perks of formula feeding, I guess. Or having pumped enough to get a break.

But then E’s only 10 weeks old so in some ways I don’t want a break, not an evening out anyway.

Maybe it’s just because I’m still really missing my pre-baby relationship with hubby. Although I did score a few hours in bed with him! From 4am until 7 whilst E slept happily in his Moses Basket.

That’s all I truly want right now. Not a night away, not time away from E. No, I’m past bed-sharing with the wrong boy. I want the 7 hours of sleep I get every night to be with my hubby. Even if I lose a few as a consequence.

I’m done. I’m out.
