Okay so actually the taxi wasn’t black.
It wasn’t a big taxi cab either, just a regular taxi. And it did drive me away last night.
At 10pm, after Elvis’ dream feed, I called a taxi and left.
I returned at half 7 in the morning with breakfast and hot drinks for daddy (and a full booby for baby).
The insomnia got the best of us and I was sent off to my mum’s to sleep. And sleep I did.
As did Daddy without me stressing about being wide awake.
Aside fro my normal problems falling asleep, I had an amazing night’s sleep. I did wake up occasionally, each time rolling over and going straight back to sleep. It was the silence. There was no hubby breathing loudly in my ear. It was wonderful.
And Elvis didn’t notice.
And Daddy only had a few awakenings to deal with, sleeping solidly before and after.
I doubt it’ll become a regular thing and I can’t wait for us to move house so we can each have our own bedrooms when I need it. I’m also now kind of excited about next weekend when hubby’s off away for his 30th and I get 2 nights without his loud breathing.
The big question is: will I be wide awake for two random hours tonight? And will I care?
