First Shoes

on April 6, 2014

I have finally succumbed and bought Elvis his first pair of shoes. Okay, technically my mum had bought him some months ago that I never let him wear.

And then I bought him some thick, soft pram shoes purely for cold weather.

And, okay, this first pair are still soft pram shoes!

I don’t understand shoes and parents since having Elvis. I don’t understand the parents who come to a baby group and keep their shoes on. I don’t understand parents putting shoes on babies. I mean babies who are immobile at groups, and even babies that are mobile at groups – why are they wearing shoes in doors?

Elvis’ new pair are far too big for him, I got them last minute for a special photo shoot we were doing and I might use them for some trips to the park or playing in Nanny’s garden. So although I class these as his first shoes, I will still be excited when he starts toddling and needs first proper shoes.
