First Birthdays

on April 9, 2014

We’ve been to two first birthdays now (Elvis’ social calender is definitely fuller than mine) and before each I’ve had the same problem.

The sheer panic the day before of not having a gift and then having to trek all the way into town to buy something.

I have the best solution!

I went to my local Waterstones and bought a pile of childrens books (I did read them all first). That night, in plain brown packing paper, I wrapped each book.

Now, they are all sat on a shelf ready and waiting! Next birthday (a first, second or third), I simply need to pick a book and stamp the receiver’s name on the front! I truly have no idea what gift I’ll be giving!

And if, after some second birthdays, I still have some, I can just stamp Elvis’ name on them!
