To further get Elvis used to staying at Nanny’s (although I think we can safely say he naps there fine now), Daddy and I took the opportunity to go on a daytime date. The date for our anniversary was once Elvis was in bed at our house, for the cinema we opted for going during the day as Nanny gets bored at our house.
The film ran so late we missed dinner! Which I had left with Nanny just in case. Although I’ve been to the cinema since Elvis was born (Thor The Dark World) and I kept up to date on the Marvellous Marvel whilst very heavily pregnant (anything for RDJ and Iron Man 3) so with the Captain making his second solo outing, we had to pair up to see it!
I was spoilt by cast information and incredibly recognisable eyes on the adverts with regards to the Winter Soldier and after the film I am curious about how it affects Agents of, but I wasn’t enamoured by the film.
It was good if Cap’s going to have a trilogy a la Iron, and it certainly delves into the world of Shield, or whoever it will now be, but it was maybe a bit too much of an action film for me. Iron Man is the technology film, to me, the science fiction kind of film. Thor is the magical and mystical, the fantasy one. With a side of Natalie Portman assisted science. Captain, with Black Widow, seems to be the guns and fighting film, spies and subterfuge, lies and secrets.
There’s nothing wrong with the three types, I’m just not the spy kinda gal. I’m looking forward to a third, to delving more into the Winter Soldier, Hydra and what next for Shield.
And Elvis survived!
